As already mentioned previously, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah, the then Judge Lahore High Court, Lahore (now Hon’ble Judge Supreme Court of Pakistan), with the persistent support of the then Hon’ble Senior Puisne Judge Lahore High Court, Lahore Mr. Justice Umar Ata Bandial (now Hon’ble Judge Supreme Court of Pakistan), under the leadership of Hon’ble Chief Justice Mr. Justice Azmat Saeed, had established the LHCRC in 2012 to provide research-based inputs to the queries of the Hon'ble Judges in different matters pending before them and to provide research based assistance on legal and judicial questions and also to provide historical, analytical and empirical studies for judicial policy making. The LHCRC has been instrumental in providing legal based assistance to the Honorable Courts involving intricate questions of law and jurisprudence. The legal assistance rendered by the LHCRC has been acknowledged and name of LHCRC and Research Officers have been mentioned/ appreciated in many landmark judgments by the Honorable Courts.
